Process Development

Centec can utilise our extensive experience to develop and optimise a process for you from as little as a reaction scheme. This can then be scaled from small quantities (grammes) to full scale manufacture (tonnes) as your requirements evolve.

We have experience of scaling the following methodologies to production - Mitsunobu, Friedel Crafts, [Cu] catalysed Ullmann and Goldberg reactions, hindered amide formation, SNAr, Lactam cyclisation.

We are clearly not limited to the above and possess the right blend of experience and equipment to move any reaction towards production.

Process Re-engineering and Optimisation

Centec will evaluate customer processes that are difficult, costly or inefficient. Proposals or processes can be developed to reduce operating costs and energy requirements, and to improve raw material utilisation by optimisation, recycling and recovery.

How does our custom synthesis business fit with our environmental ethos? In the short term we balance economics with sustainability to meet the needs of our customers. Our ultimate aim is to transition products into long term manufacture where we can bring Centec’s chemistry and engineering expertise to bear to deliver environmentally responsible processing. In practice this consists of waste minimisation through process excellence and recovery / recycling of any waste streams that do result.
